I am a Polish theatre maker —
actor,
director,
playwright
and facilitator of creative processes.
..
My work often focuses on the tragicomic dimensions of everyday life. Working mainly within the field of non-fiction theatre, I am interested in the invisible systems that quietly organise our lives: habits, assumptions and small social agreements. Observation remains my favourite creative tool.
..
I often build performances from fragments of reality — conversations, small details of daily behaviour, situations that might otherwise go unnoticed. These fragments are rarely spectacular. More often they are small and slightly unstable moments.
..
In my recent work I have become particularly interested in speculation and conjecture, treating them as legitimate artistic material. Between documentary practice and performative imagination, I try to create spaces where ordinary experiences can reveal their unexpected — and often absurd — meanings.
..
Many of my projects develop through encounters with other people. Workshops, participatory formats and collective creative processes play an important role in my practice, allowing performances to emerge from shared experience rather than a fixed script.
..
I particularly enjoy the format of artistic residencies, which I treat as an opportunity to take my thinking for a walk outside its usual neighbourhood.
