This performative dinner is a tribute to Professor Zbigniew Majchrowski, a distinguished scholar of Polish culture, literature, and theater from Gdańsk. Through a paratheatrical experience, the event invites the audience to step into Majchrowski’s critical perspective and his engagement with the Romantic archdrama Dziady by Adam Mickiewicz. In this performance, the viewer takes center stage—critical, sensitive, aware, engaging with art, and recognizing its broader contexts.
Together with the performers, the audience enters a 'crypt' filled with the spectral remnants of Romanticism—faded symbols, iconic performances, myths, and sensory artifacts from Polish culture, such as groats, vodka, and apple pie.
