TEXT / PERFORMANCE
TRUST

TRUST is about the world we don’t yet live in but maybe could. A world where people aren’t afraid of each other. Where trust isn’t a rare, breakable thing but something we wake up to. Right now, things feel precarious — right-wing populism creeping in, the gap between rich and poor stretching wider, democracy feeling less like a promise and more like an argument, more and more people feeling unwell in ways we can’t always name. It’s a lot.

..

So, what would it take to believe in each other again? To live side by side without the low, constant hum of fear? How do we stop seeing differences as threats and start seeing them as — what? Gifts? And if we could build this kind of world, who would decide the rules? Would there even be rules?

.

This isn’t just a play. It’s a question, a conversation, a possible future we’ll step into together, a rehearsal for something better.

.

The performance emerged from workshops led by the Archa Center of Documentary Theatre and was presented as part of the second edition of TRIGGER – Nuremberg’s Festival for Politics and Human Rights in Theater and Performance.
